Catching up with Davonna Koebrick
Davonna Koebrick was a member of Cohort III.
At that time, she was a field sanitarian II with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Consumer Protection Division (CPD) manufactured food program. In addition to conducting inspections, she trained new inspectors, conducted work planning, and participated in several program improvement projects.
Since then, he/she has worked as a compliance officer, training standardization officer, inspection audit program coordinator and worked closely with the DSHS Food Safety Officer and Manufactured Foods Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS) Coordinator. In November 2018, she became the new DSHS CPD Food Safety Officer and MFRPS Coordinator.
Currently, Davonna is Food Safety Officer for the CPD Food & Drug Section. In this role, she manages the FDA Flexible Funding Model Cooperative Agreement. She serves as the MFRPS Coordinator and oversees the Texas Rapid Response Team and Texas Food Safety and Defense Taskforce. She also serves as a subject matter expert to CPD leadership. She recently began serving as a Director on the MCAFDO board. She is currently participating in the Texas Health and Human Services/DSHS Executive Leadership Academy which is designed to prepare high-potential employees to lead at the executive level.
