Catching up with Grady Bergquist
Grady Bergquist was a member of Cohort IX. At that time, he was an Environmental Health Sanitarian II with the City of Lubbock Environmental Health Dept.
Since then, he has presented his research at various conferences for different organizations including the Midcontinental Association of Food and Drug Officials as well as the Texas Environmental Health Association.
Grady also passed his Registered Environmental Health Specialist/ Registered Sanitarian Exam through NEHA, and has been chapter president of the Panhandle/West Texas Chapter of the Texas Environmental Health Association for two years.
Shortly after completing the Fellowship, Grady was promoted to Environmental Health Sanitarian III with the City of Lubbock Environmental Health Department. In this role, he supervises and assists with: the day-to-day activities of numerous inspectors; the training of new inspectors; the development and improvement of inspection software for departmental use; and working with various members of his community to improve public health.
I learned a lifetime of knowledge and skills that will better my career for many years to come.
