NIFA FSOP Collaborative Education and Training Program
The NIFA FSOP Collaborative Education and Training program is designed to support and expand Food Safety Modernization Act Preventive Controls for Human Food training opportunities for Lead Instructors from U.S.-based and regional NGOs and land-grant university systems. The initiative is led by Illinois Tech’s Institute for Food Safety and Health —Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance, in partnership with the University of Florida Lead Regional Coordination Center and IFPTI.
One goal of the program is to provide regional and land grant network Lead Instructors the tools they need to successfully deliver the updated PCHF standardized curriculum to small and medium-sized growers, packers, and processors.
Eligible candidates include:
U.S. based university faculty and academic staff
Extension specialists within the Land Grant networks
Instructors with community-based organizations , local food hubs, or non-profits who have worked closely with the FSMA Centers under the NIFA grants (e.g., have participated on FSOP grant projects).
Students are not considered eligible candidates.
