Laura Dunn Nelson is the CEO and Founder of Culture Strategies Group and brings more than 40 years of experience implementing food safety and quality control programs across processing, packaging, food service, and retail operations. She has worked extensively with global retailers and manufacturers to design, implement, and strengthen food and workplace safety programs that drive compliance and operational excellence.

In addition to leading Culture Strategies Group, Laura serves as a strategic food industry liaison, working closely with customers, regulators, and industry associations to anticipate emerging regulations and industry trends. Her work supports the development of innovative training programs and technology solutions that help global organizations translate regulatory expectations into practical, culture-driven execution.

Laura’s passion for food safety culture is reflected in her deep industry involvement, including serving as a member of the GFSI Storage and Distribution Technical Working Group and the GFSI Food Safety Culture Technical Working Group, past Chair of the Food Safety Culture Professional Development Group (PDG) for the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), member of the BSI Food Safety Culture PAS 320 Steering Group, and current Chairman of the Board of IFPTI.
